Our Champagnes
Blanc de Blancs · Vintage 2001
A rare 2001 vintage: deep gold, with baked apple on the nose. Complex and beautifully matured.
Tasting notes
A very rare champagne which reveals its character after a long ageing period; few houses made vintage champagne in 2001. Deep golden colour and a heady, powerful nose with aromas of baked apple. Dry, firm structure, mineral, with hints of almond, toasted bread and brioche. Long finish with notes of nuts and sherry.
At the table
Goes as well with smoked salmon as it does with white meat or cheese.
Savoir-faire
Vinification plot by plot, reserve wines for depth and continuity, and generous, unhurried ageing on lees.
